Welcome to the old, outdated and perpetually under construction site for Possum Trash.
Please be patient while I scrounge up something to put here.

What do you mean POSSUM TRASH?
We realize its a strange name.... Well, from our end we tend to see more of the trash, but the end product our customers see is the art. We try to use as many scrounged, scavanged, reuse/recycled materials as possible.

If you are familiar with the behavior of the American oppossum, you will know about its distinctive characteristic of playing dead. We have seen this behavior up close and personal, and it is quite convincing: the animal looks like it died a horrific death, yet is quite alive.

For a moment, just think of some of the materials we have used for art as playing the role of the possum... You may think that piece of cardboard has finished its usefullness and should be tossed into the recycling pile, BUT...we know it is just playing possum and that it really is an art supply. We will take it and transform it into a three foot wide mask decoration for an elaborate party!
So, you see it may not sound like a name that represents elegant paper ephemera, or playful murals, but we have our reasons.

As mentioned above, we also both work independently. A lot of our work is quite similar in style, materials, and subject.

You can view work by Aimee on her site for The Flying Rabbit of Bean Hollow

Anandamayi does not currently have a web site, but you can read a San Francisco Chronicle article written about her and she was also mentioned in an International Herold Tribune article. She also was the subject of an article in Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion, but the website requires you to subscribe to view it.
